We are excited to be introducing Stephen Cook from Barossa Valley-based Eisenstone. Stephen will join us to discuss his passion for Barossa Shiraz, his philosophy around his brand and his focus on the sub-regions of the Barossa.

Gourmet Traveller WINE ‘Wine List of the Year Awards’

Annata’s wine list received the highest ‘wine glass’ rating at last night’s Gourmet Traveller WINE ‘Wine List of the Year Awards’. In giving Annata this accolade, the judges said our wine list:

“Pushes the boundaries by exploring a wide range of avant grade producers from all corners of the world. Sustainability and minimal intervention are key issues in this challenging offering. The list by the glass offers a way into the collection for those unfamiliar with what’s on offer.”

Christian Blair, our wine list curator, has a keen interest in uncovering quality gems from around the world, to keep our offer fresh and interesting.

MEET THE WINEMAKER – 18 JULY

18 July – Stuart Olsen – Eloquesta Wines

Join us as we host the one and only Stuart Olsen from Eloquesta and A Boy with Fruit in Mudgee – if you’ve not have the pleasure of encountering Stuart or his wines before, this is an event not to be missed!
Stuart is a winemaker from Mudgee, NSW. His wines are made in a rustic style that is unique, with no machinery, technology, laboratory or unnecessary process. (…foot treading, hand plunging etc.) He has been careful to be as sustainable, organic and biodynamic as possible with his methods to ensure healthy ripe wines of regional character and provenance made only by himself.

His wines will be skilfully matched with food prepared by the Annata kitchen led by our Head Chef Dan Webb.

When: Wednesday, 18 July from 7:00 pm

What: Delicious shared five course menu with matching wines

ANNATA – WINE BAR OF THE YEAR FINALIST!

The only North Shore venue to be selected!

Break out the Champagne! We were delighted to learn that Annata is a finalist for the Wine Bar of the Year Award by Australian Bartender. This is a national award, and Annata is the only North Shore venue to be included.

The winner of the award will be announced in September.

This accolade follows on from Annata being awarded the Reader’s Choice Award for Best Wine List 2017 by Gourmet Traveller Wine.

At Annata, we want every guest to have a memorable and enjoyable experience every time. Our aim is to provide an interesting range of quality wines from various parts of the world and served to you by passionate and knowledgeable staff. We are stoked for Christian and his team to be recognised like this!
