15 May – We’re OPEN for in-house Dining!

Commencing this Friday (15 May), we are open for in-house dining under the new Government COVID-19 Step One guidelines (which restricts us to 10 guests in the restaurant at any one time).

During this time, diners are offered the ‘Annata Experience Set Menus’, with a 4-course dinner option Monday to Thursday and a 5-course option on Friday and Saturday for lunch and dinner. Book early to avoid disappointment.

We have two seatings for our dinner service Monday to Saturday.

Bookings will be taken at 6:00 PM (to 7:45 PM) and 8:00 PM (till late)

and two seatings for lunch service Friday and Saturday.
12:00 PM (to 2:15 PM) and 2:30 PM (to 5:00 PM)

To tempt you, here is a sample of what you can expect for our ‘Annata Experience Set Menus’ depending on availability.

1st course

Torched bonito, seaweed, cucumber + horseradish

2nd course

Confit leek, potato dumpling, jamon broth + burnt citrus

3rd course

Spangled Emperor, brassicas, black quinoa and carrot

4th course

Borrowdale pork neck, pineapple kosho, salted mustard leaves

5th course

Slow-cooked figs, coffee and cardamon

Vegetarian options will be available, please notify us at the time of booking.

– Due to current government capacity regulations, every booked seat will be subject to the full set menu price, with no exceptions.
– Please be prompt and accurate with booking sizes (including children), as due to current regulations we cannot guarantee any late additions to booked numbers.
– Early sittings are subject to a strict seating allocation to allow us time to sanitise prior to the second sitting. For these seatings, we will be accepting tables early for pre-drinks.
– We cannot guarantee we can accommodate Vegan/low FODMAP/High-Needs dietary requirements unless we receive at least 48 hrs notice.
– If guests arrive without the COVIDSafe app activated on their phone, they will be required to supply their contact details, so they can be contacted in the event of a COVID-19 infection.

Annata’s wine list received the highest ‘wine glass’ rating at last night’s Gourmet Traveller WINE ‘Wine List of the Year Awards’. In giving Annata this accolade, the judges said our wine list:

The 2018 Gourmet Traveller WINE ‘Wine List of the Year’ awards have been run and won and we are delighted to report that we have once again be awarded two glasses.  This follows on for being awarded Readers Choice in 2017 and two glasses in 2016.

What the judges said – “Part bar, part bistro with a drinks list to satisfy both. A seriously neat gin selection entices so too the gems offered by the glass. It’s a savvy, small list that injects personality and interest via headings such as For Lovers of Texture or A little Something Different. And it delivers.”

The only North Shore venue to be selected!

Break out the Champagne! We were delighted to learn that Annata is a finalist for the Wine Bar of the Year Award by Australian Bartender. This is a national award, and Annata is the only North Shore venue to be included.

The winner of the award will be announced in September.

This accolade follows on from Annata being awarded the Reader’s Choice Award for Best Wine List 2017 by Gourmet Traveller Wine.

From this Sunday, 28 January, Annata will be open 7 days a week. Join us at Annata on Sundays for a casual bar menu and all the great wines, beers and cocktails that we are known for.

Then start the week by letting us cook for you – our chefs will put together a four course menu every Monday and offer it to our wonderful locals at just $50 per head. Christian will have a white and a red from our wine collection open every week as well, giving our guests a chance to try something different without breaking the bank.

Then Tuesdays to Saturdays we are offering the full Annata experience.

Annata has been honoured at the 2017 Wine List of the Year Awards by taking out the ‘Gourmet Traveller WINE Readers Choice’. Christian Blair accepted the award at the afternoon awards ceremony held at Glass Brasserie in Sydney on 31 July in front a capacity crowd of some of the country’s foremost Sommeliers and Restaurateurs. Winning the Readers Choice Award confirmed that the wine list that is on offer at Annata resonates with guests and really provides an enticing and exciting experience.

The award follows on from the ‘2 Glass Award’ received at the Wine List of the Year Awards last year.
