6th June – Dave Mackintosh – Arfion, Yarra Valley

We’re excited to announce that early next month we will be joined for dinner by Dave Mackintosh of Arfion Wines in the Yarra Valley – if you’ve been lucky enough to try his wines you know this is not one to miss.

Growing up in New Zealand with Scottish heritage, Dave Mackintosh moved to Australia in 2006 and fell in love with the styles and potential of the Yarra Valley.  With the help of his brother Jimmy and father Brian, they established Arfion in 2011.  Their aim is to extend the limitations of style, be considerate to the grapes and land, and to be a strong part of the local wine community.

Arfion creates thoughtful wines with minimal winemaking interference under the Arfion and Smokestack Lightning labels. Intuitive, evolving wine styles that reflect their interpretations of each vineyard’s soil.

Book now for Mother’s Day lunch, Sunday, 13 May. Head Chef, Dan Webb, has created a special shared five course menu to spoil your Mother or special person in your life. Christian has curated a great wine list and will be whipping up delicious cocktails. Our Mother’s Day menu is $85 per person which includes a glass of Pike and Joyce sparkling wine or beer on arrival. Children’s meals also available at $20 per person (please advise if a kids meal and/or high chair is required)

From this Sunday, 28 January, Annata will be open 7 days a week. Join us at Annata on Sundays for a casual bar menu and all the great wines, beers and cocktails that we are known for.

Then start the week by letting us cook for you – our chefs will put together a four course menu every Monday and offer it to our wonderful locals at just $50 per head. Christian will have a white and a red from our wine collection open every week as well, giving our guests a chance to try something different without breaking the bank.

Then Tuesdays to Saturdays we are offering the full Annata experience.
