100% Sauvignon blanc from 20+ year-old vines, hand-picked and sorted, very gentle pneumatic press and cool fermented in stainless steel. Matured in tank on fine lees for 6 months. Ripe and vibrant gooseberry fruit aromas without excess. Excellent depth of fruit on the palate with texture minerality and excellent depth and character.
Pascal Reverdy, now assisted by his son Victorien, produces an ultra-precise, concentrated Sancerre. The same strata of Kimmeridgian chalk that gives Chablis its classic zip surfaces in the Reverdy`s village, Maimbray – hence this wine`s raciness and stony finish, even in a sunny vintage like 2022.
The colour is Very pale lemon-green.
The nose is intense and scented, with notes of cut lime and elderflower.
The palate is light bodied and lively, having richness of fruit, chalky minerality and an attractive, silky texture. The finish is long and fresh.
