Almost unprocurable, only four barrels of this stunning NZ wine have been made in Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The nose begins with a subtle array of citrus fruits, corn husk and savory before opening into a wider array of richer stone fruit characters and spring flowers. Beautifully restrained by fine-grained oak and integrated acidity. A long flowing wine ready now, or age for up to ten years for increased complexity. This Erin's Chardonnay has incredible layers of flavour, so it would be a shame to serve too cold – aim for around 14C for best results.

96 Points - Cameron Douglas MS; 96 Points - Bob Campbell MW; 19/20 - Sam Kim (NZ)"Complex, very modern, sophisticated, intriguing, mineral and fruit centric and with a spicy oak bouquet. Flavours of sweet citrus and peaches, apricot and tropical apple-fruits, vanilla, nut-like French butter and layers of stony, limestone mineral complexity. Equally delicious on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose, there’s a specific texture from fruit, oak and wild ferments. Lengthy finish as the complexity continues.

A native of nearby Catania, Alberto Graci says he only cultivates traditional varieties indigenous to Mount Etna, respecting local traditions as well as the distinct characters of each vintage. All Graci’s wines are hand harvested and fermented in cement tanks. All vineyards are certified organic, with careful selections and the search for full maturity, limiting the yields in the vineyard to a minimum. The vines are bush trained on the northern face of Mt Etna at 600 metres above sea level at a density of 6,300 vines per hectare. The brown soils are of volcanic origin, rich in fossils, iron and sand, with a high nitrogen content.
Carricante has been growing on the slopes of Mt. Etna for centuries and is the key grape behind white Etna DOC wines.
This beautifully fresh, savoury and minerally wine is pale and lustrous straw in colour. It has an intense and taut bouquet with nuances of grapefruit and white stone fruits with a touch of oak. Having seamless integration, elegance, balance, and length the aromas are fresh, succulent stone fruit with a citrus backbone. Taste ripe citrus, nectarine and passionfruit and butter.

Named ‘Stonewell’ after the district that Peter Lehmann believed best showed the characters of immense depth and intensity he admired most in Barossa Shiraz. The secret to Stonewell is the outstanding quality of grapes - often referred to as little black jewels - drawn only from low-yielding vineyards that produce sparse bunches with tiny, but intensely flavoured fruit. The 2016 vintage in the Barossa began with warm and dry weather, no disease pressure and one magnificent rain event and the end of January. This was perfectly timed for veraison and flavour development.
Fermented and macerated on skins for up to 2 weeks with some partial barrel fermentation. Following pressing and clarification, the wine was matured in French oak hogsheads for approximately 18 months. This iconic SA wine has a crimson rim with a deep black core. It is a full bodied, classic Stonewell with massive density and length. The palate is full bodied, classic Stonewell with massive density and length. There is a long life ahead for this all-time classic Stonewell’s.
Andrew Caillard Review – 97 Points
Deep crimson. Intense dark plum, blackberry, praline aromas with roasted hazelnut, roasted chestnut notes. Richly concentrated and inky deep with dark berry, dark chocolate, panforte flavours, plentiful fine-grained tannins and beautifully integrated mocha, roasted chestnut oak notes. Finishes chocolaty/ firm with cedar, aniseed notes. An exceptional Barossa vintage. -
The philosophy of Pulenta Estate is that making a great wine is an act of generosity, always considering the one who will taste it. Their stated mission is to produce limited series of great wine proudly made in Argentina.
The vineyard in La Zulema Estate, Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza is 3215 feet above sea level. The varietal is 100% Cabernet Franc.
This gorgeous wine would give the Grand Cru Saint-Emillion Bordeaux winemakers some very serious competition. Enjoy its deep ruby colour and intense aromas of roasted pepper, eucalyptus, and spice. The entrance on the palate is sweet and smooth, due to the presence of round and ripe tannins. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, giving the wine an elegant and long finish.
Tim Atkin MW, The 2019 Argentina Report
This is one of the top 10 wines of Argentina. “Made with an Italian clone that was planted back in 1991 at their estate in Agrelo, this is always among Argentina’s best Cabernet Francs. Supple, scented and caressing, with rich, smooth green pepper and red berry fruit, top notes of cut grass and graphite and aromatic oak. Drink 2019-2025”
