Join us at Annata Restaurant for an extraordinary five-course degustation event focussed on a deeper appreciation of ten great wine grape varietals as we enjoy ten stunning premium wines made from them. Australian wines are most often classified by the grapes from which they are fermented, but this is quite different to the old European system of chateau and regional appellation name classifications which rarely mention the grapes. Guiding you through this vinous adventure is our expert host, James Herriott. He will share the fascinating history of each varietal, the unique taste characteristics of each and the way different terroirs influence the wines. Our wine list will feature some of your favourite varietals such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz but also some lessor known varietals from lessor known places that will surprise you in a beautiful way. You will gain more expertise in all of them as the night progresses.
