Tasting Notes
Straw yellow in colour with golden reflections. The nose expresses aromas of wildflowers, citrus, yellow peach, apricot and officinal herbs. In the mouth, it has good body, with lovely fruity notes, balanced freshness, and a savoury, slightly almondy finish.
The Winemaker
Owner and viticulturalist Guido Guardigli works with Alessandro Meniconi, a native son and an energetic young winemaker. The grapes are harvested by hand during the coolest hours of the day, usually at the end of September, and immediately taken to the winery to be started with the soft pressing of the whole bunches under inert gas, to avoid the danger of oxidation. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15-16 °C and only using indigenous yeasts. Maturation takes place in steel for about 6 months, resting on fine lees during fermentation for the purpose of creating more structure and aromatic richness.
